Stone Veneer

Stone Veneer Tucson, AZNatural stone has an allure that hardly any other masonry material can match. While it’s extensively used in interior design, we at Sonomascape also use it in many of our landscaping projects. It could be used to build retaining walls, garden steps, flower bed planters, outdoor kitchen walls, curbing and edging of driveways, pathways etc. However, this isn’t a very easy material to work with.

In fact installing stone features is distinctly more time- consuming than installing masonry features made using concrete and brick. In many ways, this adds to the higher cost of the installation too. We are the landscaping company that always keeps our customer’s interest uppermost in our minds; all the solutions we provide are aimed at providing our customers value for money while giving them the kind of outdoor spaces they want on their property.

This is why we recommend to our customers in and around Casas Adobes, Nogales, Oro Valley, Nogales, Mexico and Marana that they should opt for stone veneer in their landscaping project.

What Exactly Is Stone Veneer?

These are typically made of natural stone; however artificial stone veneers are also available. These thin-cut natural stone slices can be affixed to concrete walls, using mortar. We have installed CMU or poured concrete walls in some of our landscaping projects across Drexel Heights, Sierra Vista, Tucson, Catalina Foothills and Flowing Wells.

Some of our customers ask us whether we can change the appearance of the “boring” concrete walls. This is where stone veneer installation comes into the picture. We clad these plain walls with veneer and this makes it look like a natural stone wall.

Types of Veneers

There are different types of veneers you can choose from such as:

  • Real Stone Veneer

    - Today, there is quite a high demand for locally-sourced stones and many of our clients are now choosing to get stone veneer installation done instead of opting for actual stone blocks. Veneers aren’t as heavy as blocks and they are more affordable too. The major advantage is that they provide a very elegant look without all the installation and cost challenges of stone.

  • Twin Stone Veneer

    - This veneer is a little different from real stone veneer as it’s very thin and does not have the 3D effect that the latter has. In most instances, thee veneers are used in indoor settings, but we have successfully used them in many of our outdoor living installation projects too.

  • Manufactured Stone Veneer

    - Several customers are now opting for this material; its considerably inexpensive, comes in a number of colors and designs and you can choose from between ones of different thicknesses too.

As you can see, there are a number of natural stone veneers that you can choose from. We can provide detailed advice about these stones and their pros and cons; this helps you make a more well-informed choice.
